Jimmy Johnson reflects on why there is a high number of military veterans in prison

Can you imagine British combat troops being given a free hand to attack, kill, murder and rape thousands of innocent civilians around the world while serving in conflicts? There would of course be worldwide condemnation and the government would be held responsible and forced to sort out the horrendous situation immediately.

However, imagine the same scenario happening on the streets of the UK when combat troops return from their service in conflicts, and nothing being done about it on the one hand, and on the other, hiding the problem away inside the Criminal Justice System. Incredible as this may seem, this is not some sort of imaginary storyline but is very real and has been happening over a period of decades, right up to this present moment in time.

‘BLOODBATH ‘MURDER’ – The Sun newspaper article headline Friday, 26th November 2021. Tragically, this is the latest classic example of yet another combat veteran being remanded in custody charged with murder. Similar headlines have become very familiar regarding the now high numbers of combat veterans in the prison population serving sentences for extreme violence on innocent civilians, but unbelievably, no one has yet realised the true significance of this violence being brought home by combat veterans back into civilian life.

Ex-soldier, 34, in court charged with ‘stabbing couple to death’ after ‘parking row’ by Alex Winter 26 Nov 2021. Available at: www.thesun.co.uk/news/16855247/soldier-court-charged-stabbing-parking-row

Confirmation of this hidden debacle is the fact that combat veterans in the prison population of England and Wales have been allowed to increase from very sparse numbers in the early 1970s (soon after troops were deployed into Northern Ireland), to develop into today’s high numbers serving prison sentences for extreme violence. Although some combat veterans are suffering PTSD because of their service, the dominating and damning factor is that all combat veterans were indoctrinated in pure raw violence prior to their service in conflicts and not one was ever de-programme from this violent insanity.

Disastrously this is a situation of the Ministry of Defence’s own making, resulting from their ignorance of the long-term effects of purposely conditioning combat troops minds in absolute violence prior to their service in conflicts. Unquestionably this needs to be done to ensure they will kill other human beings (enemy soldiers) without any thought or hesitation. But to deliberately ignore reality and turn a blind-eye and not de-programm these combat veterans of this implanted violence once their service in conflicts is done, then that is a tragedy in waiting!

If troops are mentally conditioned and indoctrinated in pure raw violence to fight monsters prior to their service in conflicts, then obviously they are high risk of becoming violent monsters themselves by unknowingly bringing home this violence – unless they are deprogrammed.

This was why ‘Break Off’ was written, a programme for all combat veterans to receive the correct treatment they need and fully deserve to turn off and eliminate this violence.

Yours sincerely, Jimmy Johnson (siganture)

Footnote:

The ‘Break Off’ programme describes how I and many thousands of other combat veterans were implanted with pure raw violence prior to our tours of duty in Northern Ireland. This “upped” method of training was also in use prior to their service in later conflicts such as: The Falklands, Iraq, and Afghanistan, although obviously it will have changed over the years, as there will now be more subtle ways of indoctrinating combat troops in this violence. But the basic principles of conditioning combat troops minds in violence are the same, and consequently, since there is still no de-programming, violence will still be combat veterans’ only answer to arguments, domestic or otherwise, on their return to peacetime surroundings. Tragically for many, this is the reason for their high numbers in the prison population.
